Australian $1 Coins

2004 Standard

In 2004 the Standard "Five Kangaroos" One dollar coin made a welcome return, with many collectors believing that it was extinct. This is the first standard coin since 2000 and the first to be made with the new presses at the Royal Australian Mint.
Many collectors believe the standard coins will be the most collectable as, like the fifty cent issues, people spend standard coins and keep commemorative coins, making the amount of high grade coins available much lower into the future.
