This is an interesting book. The editor, Mr Dyer worked as the librarian and curator of the Royal Mint and drew together some of the best numismatic authors for this book. The names include John Sharples, Curator of Numismatics at the Museum of Victoria, Christopher Challis, leading reader of Modern History and John Porteous, who's early book was described as the best single volume ever written on coins.

Another interesting guide with mainly historical interest , it not only covers Australian gold sovereigns but all sovereigns issued throughout the British Empire.
It also contains a handy little world gold coin list detailing purities, weights and gold content and a few other handy little tables.
